    Dear Douglas,

This is one special sighting and I love the proud pose of this magnificent species, well captured! Don't know whether I am qualified to offer an opinion on B/W conversions, since I am in a learning phase myself, but I have some observations to make regarding your image, as well as a question: is this a big crop? I am asking this because the IQ seems to have suffered quite a bit, and since your camera settings seem spot-on to me, I cannot understand where the loss of IQ comes from. The "hint of colour" does not really work for me, the sable looks brown against the grey BG and therefore stands out a little too much, it has this artificial feel as if it has been cloned into the BG. Would love to see an RP in colour, or maybe -if you do not mind- could you post the original so we can all see where you started from?

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
