No nits at all Holger apart from a slight suggestion to take a slice off the oof foreground. Thew bird seems a tiny bit high in the frame. No big deal . Love the darker backdrop too.
Great image, and brings back memories happy days spent in a campavan on Texel !! some time ago now.( The locals were so good to us.)
    Cheers

A good solid image. Nice head angle.
I would like to see a bit more room on the left and a bit off the bottom.
I wonder if you can tease out a bit more details in the blacks of the tail?
Nice and low POV and the whites look good ( maybe a little bit hot on the cheek). Do you have Detail Extractor in NIK EFEX PRO? It would help with both these issues,

    Hi Holger

A really nice close up image of this tiny bird. I agree that the composition might be improved by a slight change to the crop.

I like the low angle, HA, pose and would take a little off the bottom too. Nice image.

Hi Holger, lovely low angle, and I do like the soft light. Lovely colours in the BG with the mixture of greens and blues. Im finding the plover a little too dark, so bringing out more exposure on him should make him pop a little better. I agree with Gail to take off the bottom, and add to the left.

I love Texel. I spent my time in texel in every holiday. This year four times always one week

I have Detail Extractor in NIK EFEX PRO and will try it.
