    Hello Richard,

Very nice capture and I love to see those magnificent colours, one of my favourite birds although they are rather naughty - one very teritorial male saw his own reflection in my car window and pecked away for hours, his little feet/claws scratching the rubber all over the place...Love the pose, nice and sharp where it needs be, lovely BG!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Lots of personality in this image!! I could go for a bit more room at right, and the details lead me to believe that this may be a large crop, but I love the "in your face" feel, raised crest, as well as the colours.

Hi Richard, colours spot on, well exposed, and you have captured a super pose with him showing off his meal. Agree with a little more room right, and would run some NR on the BG.

We have a nesting box in our garden, and each year, these guys come and breed successfully.

Super photo Richard. Conveys the mischievousness of these colourful birds really well.

Superb sharp detail and I do like that raised creast flecked with some nice bits of colour.

This portrait reveals the naughty personality of these birds that Gabriela eluded to above. :) The colors are stunning, and I like the cocked head, colors and inclusion of the meal.
