This one flew to a few to a perch just to the right of my front wheel so It is angled just above him, almost FF

    1D MK IV - 300mm F2.8 - plus 2 x extender MK III - HH

    Manual - ISO 4000 - f11 - 1/1250 sec - 0 ev

ISO was high as I had been trying to get them in DOF at 1/3200 sec, hence the F11. I have had some good success and been able to find ways to get some decent BIF shots without having to rely on luck (although it still is I guess)

They have been catching big cicadas lately and hope to show those soon.

Hi Carl, the colours look oh so much better than the previous one, nice rich and vibrant. Perhaps a little big in frame for my tastes, but… Very good for ISO4000, seems Artie is dropping to f/8, you could try it and same some ISO, albeit a little?

Find your 'paw' print a little distracting, I might reduce it.

HI Carl the colours look spot on to me and I like that prickly perch bird looks sharp and the BG is ok apart from maybe that dark patch under the bird but that is being a bit picky ,very good looking image.
Hoping to get a trip to the Gambia in the new year to try For these.

Little bit large in frame but still a nice image . Might even take a tight head/chest area crop. The oof tail is a bit eye catching ,but no real crisis.
That,s just my pesonal opinion.(which can be out of the box occasionally)

    Cheers

I may get to see these shortly but zoo job I reckon.

So cute indeed. I like the light, excellent details & HA. I would suggest to clone that OOF bright stem behind the tail.

Hi Carl, I like how the BE is looking along the line of the perch, colours look good, and a great eye. DOF on the body is fine.
