The day was initially disappointing my intention was to get some SEO images but nothing happening, I went to the local park as a last resort.

Even though this was your second choice subject, I'd say you did pretty well! Nice exposure, gorgeous water, and great eye contact/wing position.

    Gorgeous image ,Jonathan.
Beautiful pose with nice wing position, nice colors, fine sharpness, great composition.
Love the golden eye, blue reflection along the body line, water droplets and silky green water ripple.

Don't I wish I had a local park with water color and ducks like this. Great wing position, well exposed. Might have wished for a higher ISO to allow a little more SS.

Unusual pose and just the right amount of wing movement.
My nearest would be Slimbridge- not many ducks in the forest !!

Your decision to venture elsewhere certainly paid off Jon. Cracking exposure, action and sharpness.

I think this is a stunning capture. Agree with everything above but the colours of that water is amazing.

Hi Jonathan, like the laid back posture and swept back wings. Good eye contact, but unless it's a reflection of a near by object I would remove the blue within the water and chest, looks better IMHO and an easy fix.
