    Default Yellow on Green

Yellow wagtail (male) Spent a fair bit of time with these over the years. Boy are they fast !
Incidentally- the green weed is causing a serious problem on the mosses and meres in this country . It is Crassula Helmsii, a kind of short fleshy succulent which has been introduced and literally takes over. It covers any bare wader type mud almost overnight. The area where the wagtails were photographed was shallow water and mud last year.

nice pose and topside view, subject is sharp and well exposed. the green surroundings are very nice, I might work on the cathclight a bit, blend in the darker oof blub in the upper right and run some NR on the BG selectively.

Love that mossy setting (despite its evasiveness described), and the yellow plumage looks great against it. The reworked catchlight looks better. I realize you likely want to keep the grass strand at left there, but I feel the comp would have worked better had you pointed your lens more to the right. Alternatively, if you have it adding back some canvas at right (and top to retain ratio) would also work well.

    Thanks all.
Dan - can get a bit but not enough to make much difference, without taking some off another frame. Where do you stop ?
