Hi Everyone,
As you all know it's Spring time in the swamp again! Here is a shot taken today at a place that is very popular locally called "Buttertubs Marsh". If you have ever stalked these guys you know that you have to be quick as they seem to have an almost sixth sense when a camera lens hits them and they spring out of the way just before you can get a good picture. Guess I got lucky today.

Hi Steve I like the little guy Good pose, detail and bg !!! Sure wish he had turned his head your way a bit more seems to be looking away just a bit. Would clone the one green branch in front of beak. There is also a dark stripe running all the way down the right side of frame. Would crop it out along with the green oof branch. Will give an excellent edge !!!
I would clone out (or QM) the right part of the image rather than crop it as the bird is already too centered as is and needs all that room in front of it. Bummer head turn, but this is good to have in your files until a better chance comes along. :-)
Sharp, nice BKGR, but head-angle, head-angle, head-angle. Sometimes it is better to be good (and aware of the proper head angle) than to be lucky. Do see the Head Angle Police thread in Educational Resources.
