    Default Resplendent beauty!

    Hello every one!

I have been a bit busy doing some scouting for a 2015 photo tour and workshop here in beautiful Costa Rica.

    For this one I used

MarkIV+600f/4@f/8+ISO800+SS1/80!(yes it is dark in the cloud forest too!)Tripod+FF+Pretty much out of the camera except for an offending branch that was doing nothing in the image.

A good stabilazing technique is paramount when shooting at such slow shutter speeds even if you are using a sturdy tripod!

Thanks in advance for your crittiques and comments.

    What a fantastic bird.

I really like the IQ and coposition and the subject is amazing. The head looks a tiny bit soft, I wonder if it could be sharpened slightly more?

    a beauty indeed.
    Nice composition and brilliant colours.
Only slight niggle is the branches and leaves behind the bird's head, the rest of the BG works really well.

Beautiful bird, perch, BG (except very top part). Love the twisting tail feathers. I'd prefer to see a bit more room above the head.

What a nice pose he gave you, to get this FF. Nice work getting him this sharp at slow SS. Might tone down the brightest parts of the perch, and maybe a bit more sharpening on the bird if possible. But an enviable image to be sure.

Beautiful image Juan! I like the pose, perch, tail, details and HA. Another vote for a little more room up top.
