    Default Whitefaced Owl in a Redbilled Buffalo Weaver nest

    Canon 7D, Canon 100-400@363, 1/100s, f7.1, ISO 400, +2.33, HH. The owl had taken over a Redbilled Buffalo Weaver nest located near the Santawani Camp in the Okavango Delta. Huge crop!

    Hi Douglas

    This is a species I have not seen before. I like the composition and the exposure looks good.
    The subject itself looks a little blurred which looks like camera shake due to the 1/100 shutter speed. I might not have been as noticeable with less of a crop.

    I certainly agree about the blur. It was cropped a lot and I'm sure there is some camera shake. I was in the back of a Land Rover with the motor running.

    Neat species, and the eyes are so mesmerizing! Agree on the blur caused by camera shake...even with IS it doesn't take much to get that, including a running engine.
