This was the mating pair I have had posted earlier during the act. This was immediately after when the male gave me a nice pose.

It looks as though she may have nipped him near his family jewels! I assumed this was a just after mating pose, but personally wish for more of the female.

I think this would have worked better with either more of the lioness or without her at all. The male himself, has an interesting pose which I like.

Nice smooth image and interesting pose from him. I know how hard it is to get a nice pose out of a male when he's mating. Sleep, sleep, sleep, get up quickly, mate, flop down again, sleep, sleep, sleep. Repeat. So I think you did well. There's a lack of detail in the subject though and I'm not sure if it's too little sharpening, or perhaps some NR (although I doubt you applied NR on a ISO 100 image!). Perhaps when you're posting an image, you can tell us briefly what you did in PP so that we can help more.

Hi Sanjeev - it is a nice pose from the male but I agree that the placement amount of the female visible and the way she intersects with the male isn't ideal. I also agree with Ed's observations and suggestions.

Hi Sanjeev, not much left for me to say, only that I agree what is said already above. I like the pose of the lion.

    Have a great weekend

    Ciao
