These can be tough to pull off but I love this one!
Nice pose with excellent exposure and detail ... and gotta love that water and low angle!
Light looks nice as well ... would never have guessed this was taken in sunny f/16 conditions.

Might move the bird up in the frame ever so slightly.

nice pose and details, I like the calm water. I might sharpen him a bit more.

    Hi Grace

I think the low angle really works for this image and it is nice to see the eye.
I've tried similar shots myself but never been happy with them so this give me something to aim for.
    I don't think I would change anything.

Great low angle, wonderful eye. Excellent detail in the whites. Maybe a little more USM on the head?

I love waterfowl and a drake Canvasback is one of the most regal ducks there is. I like the one eye open tucked pose and the water color. Exposed well and lots of detail. Nice shot Grace

Absolutely beautiful pose and techs! Maybe a little less on top and a little more on the bottom? Regardless of that stuff.... really love it!

Hi Grace a very sweet & beautiful image.

Love the soft detail, just right. The blue water works oh so well with the subject and sets the plumage colour off very nicely. The defused BKG and muted detail in the waves gives a nice 'dreamy' approach.
