At this time of year whooper swans arrive in my local reserves to spend the winter.
Its always fantastic to see them back and I'm looking forward to getting some interesting shots over the next few months.

Here the first of the shots I took last weekend.

Nikon D7000 300mm F4 AF 1/1600sec f5.6 ISO 800. Some minor levels adjsutments small crop and sharpening in Lightroom.

Comments and critique welcome and appreciated.

I love to see Swans in flight, even though our Mute Swans are nuisance birds around here. Birds in this one look sharp and well exposed, and the image has a very nice sense of place. The ducks on the water are a little distracting but add to that sense. Wish the RH bird had been up into the green.

Nice scene you have captured here. Wish you had caught the swans facing just a tad more toward the viewer. I think I'd shave a little off of the top to clean up the edges.

Thanks for the comments I agree that the RH swan would have been better slightly higher and that they were both pointing slightly away. I will keep those i mind on my next visit.
