Thats stunning Jim. Thats a beautiful background, It looks like you were fortunate to find the bird in a bit of a clearing. Very nice perch. the few thorns add interest, and most of all a stunner of a bird.
Wow, Very nice image Jim. The pose, HA, perch and the BG all make for a sweet shot. I really like the comp you chose too. Congrats on your 300th thread, always enjoy your work and thanks for your comments also. Look forward lots more.
Exquisite bird, very nicely captured against lovely BG. I don't mind the little bit of tail-wag. Great comp. I wondered about the supercilium, thinking the image might have a bluegreen cast, but my CR book shows it is not pure white. Congrats on 300.
One of my favorite motmots!
The nice light really helped here. Also the perch and clean background is way good! great to see how much fun you have when you are in CR. Let me know next time you are here and may be we can go and shoot some images together.
Like the pose, perch, and simple composition. Good choice of aperture; those tail feathers can be a challenge to get in focus. I do see a slight greenish cast, and I might brighten the image a bit.
