Lovely subject, light and wing position. The birds in the BG are a bit distracting, but your bird still shows up quite nicely.

    The IQ looks great Graeme.
I don't mind the BG birds, I would just crop the dark edge off the right side.

Magnificent image in lovely lights. Beautiful pose with nice wing position, colors, details and great low shooting angle.
Agree about removing dark edge on the right side.

    Regards,
    Satish.

A pleasant surprise, the thumbnail didn't get my attention...sure glad I opened this. Would crop from the right side to remove the dark bird. I like to smooth out backgrounds that have a tendency to be distracing using Nik tonal contrast. Lightening the shadows and reducing the highlights on the bird on the right side would still let the viewer know that other birds are here but reduce their impact. Great pose on your pretty subject.

A beautiful shot of the Plover; great up-wing position, good detail, nice foreground. Grace's suggestion sounds good - just to take some of the distracting brightness out of the oof birds.

Hi Graeme, the raised wings show great feather detail, and captured in soft light. Love your low shooting angle, and Im torn between the OOF birds.

Beautiful on all counts. Love the soft light, the raised wings, and the perfect head angle. I even like the BKGR birds. The dark shape middle frame edge right is mildly distracting.

Very sweet light with excellent pose, low shooting angle & IQ. The BG is a little busy, But very nice image overall. TFS

Good low angle shot, I would loose the OOF background birds.
