Here's what an approaching Bald Eagle looks like to a very frightened fish. Those talons mean business! From Alan Murphy's Eagle workshop. Title courtesy of Marina Scarr.

    Super photo, Doug ! Hope I don't sound too Flickr-ish !

Those talons are serious weapons !

And I can feel the cold from those icy blue waters.

My favourite Bald Eagle photo of all time, thanks to the incredible closeup, laser intent of the bird and also for the water component. The splash shows the bird's propulsive momentum and the cold, metallic surface is great. Bravo!!

This is a most powerful pose and image, Doug. The talons absolutely give this image its power. I think I am seeing an ever-so-slight halo on the top right wing.

    Pretty awesome, Doug.
A perfectly cropped close up and the DOF really makes the talons impressive.

Hi Doug, just love the intense stare, and yes, those talons can do some pretty nasty damage. The tail trail shows how fast and how powerful the BE is coming in. Well captured.

Wow Doug, what a great shot with tons of in you face impact. The concentrated stare and the dragging tail look great. I love the awesome look of the business end of this eagle. Nice one!
