    Default Yellow Crown Night Heron

I am missing my YCNH this spring. The area is flooded with no access.
So I dug into my archives and reprocessed this last year 30D image. Not best crop
and I added some canvas to left side.

My fav part is just the look of this guy....quite a character
Shot in shade under tree cover just as sun was rising about 7:30 last June
    ISO 400. f/5.6, 400mm. 1/500

thanks for looking and continued critique

Agree on the character look Dave !!! Do like it a lot !!! Would have like seeing the bird a bit more to the right. Good work adding canvas !!

Bird looks good in the shade but can tell the harsh light on the water. Still like the look of this image, The bird's look does it !!!

Such unusual light, Dave. I really like this one. He has a great expression.

A little more room on top would be good, I think.

Interesting pose Dave. Great job with the canvas on the left; a little more challenging than adding some sky. Thanks for sharing.

Great looking image, Dave. I haven't seen this one? Super expression. Unusual setting--makes this one very interesting.
