Hi Anita, I don't have experience with the models you mention, but I own a Canon Pixma all-in-one MP640, which seems quite comparable to the models you're interested in. I'm very happy with the photoprints I've made with this printer. Using the Canon printing Interface, I got exactly on print what I saw on the screen. Same for direct printing from PS. Scans are also quite OK, a bit on the soft side (even with the onboard sharpening algorithm of the scanning software). The Wireless is great, you have to set it once, but then you don't have to look at it ever again. Just switch on the computer and you're ready to go. What I do not like is that it uses colored ink to print B/W text, even while it has a large separate black ink reservoir. Cartridges are quite small, so if you print a lot, you'll be changing cartridges a lot too. What I also don't like is that it has quite a long startup and shutdown sequence, so it takes a while before you can start printing.
Thank you, Jerry. I appreciate your thoughts. Printing is something I've avoided, having a colleague who makes beautiful prints of my photos. But, I am looking into printing cards. Your comments are encouraging.
