    Hi,
Here is a burrowing owl in flight that is somewhat "different" ! Since it was back lit and the image was taken without a flash it was the best that I could have hoped for under the circumstances. Next time and every time from now on the "flash will be with me"!! I hope you like it as well...comments/suggestions MOST welcome or how else will "we" learn!!
    Best to All,,,

Impressive image Michael !!!!! Love the head turn and translucency in the wings. Also like the exposure very much ... in this instance there was no second chance !!!!

btw at the selected shutter speed the flash would have had no effect Not sure if you could increase the contrast a bit? The back lit images usually need flash or a slight contrast boost !!! I like this one a lot !!!!

Michael, your best Owl yet :) There's enough detail n he top and the light shinning through the wings makes it special. Banking pose is just too cool and I like the touch of habitat in the right.

You gone manual? Proud of you!!!!

well done Michael and the backlight is most effective for an appealing presentation.
More light on main side might not keep it as interesting....nice shot/pp
