Hi Martin - It does look good in b&w but it doesn't have an assigned color profile. Even in b&w it needs one so there is no shift when posting. The sharpening looks good to me. I think the eyes need to be a bit brighter/lighter to give the whole image a lift. Also watch the blacks as some are choked up a little.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Thanks for pointing that out Rachel.
I've lightened the eyes a bit and there should now be a colour profile

For me, the colour version of this was better, and I can see why you kept it that way Martin. This just looks a bit flat because you're missing any areas of stark contrast. Either I think you need to work with dodging and burning to give more character to the image, or go back to your colour one which was very nice.

    Hi Martin,
like the portrait with the slight tilted head, make this guy a bit looking like a kitty.
like the conversion but do find the blacks around the eyes a bit too deep.
would back off on sharpening a bit.

Like Anette `s RP the most , if i had to choose.

    Hi Martin

Very nice lion portrait. It is a keeper. I actually prefer the b/w version and Anettes version the most.

Hi Martin, for sure the day will come. I learned it in this forum with reading and for sure with leaving lots of comments to get involved in the discussions!

If you look close you see where the brush was not quite accurate from me. Was done fast. What did I do. I darkened the BG and did doge/burn a bit in the face!
That is all. You can do that too.

    Have a great day/eve

    Ciao Anette
