    nice one John...no fill?
    I ask because of the small sharp catch light.

    Sweet bird and great color all the way around

    IMO, noise ninja may have let you down a bit on this one.....not sure why I see a slightly blotchy bg

    BG looks fine on my monitor John. I like this photo. The only thing I might suggest is toning down the perch a bit.

    Dave & Doug: thanks for your comments.

    No fill flash was used. I only have the on-board popup flash and I am rarely successful using it for fill flash.

    Agree that the perch could use some TLC. JR

    BG also looks fine on my monitor........and agree with Doug's recommendation on the perch.......not much...just enogh to remove it as a possible competitor for the bird. Nicely done!
