    Default Long-tailed Duck Take off

Another of my most wanted species from my trip to Nome this past June. The rich brown of their breeding plumage has to be amoung the prettiest color in nature. Of course, I say that about many colors. :)

What an amazing capture you have here, Grace! I love the flow of the tail and the wings. The flight angle is perfect. Love the color palate!

    Grace:

The curving lines of the belly and tail work well together. Nice angle in frame and comp. Well exposed.

    Cheers

    A superb shot.
I like the drops on the chest and the 2 little drops trailing behind the duck.
    The flight angle is perfect.
Tack sharp, great BG. What more can you ask for?

Don't know about the prettiest color in nature, but you've captured a beauty here: couldn't ask for a better flight angle, and the curve of the tail and complimentary BG color tops it off. Nicely done. I don't get to see these guys in breeding plumage by the time they get to Barnegat.

That brown is absolutely striking. The tail on these ducks always seems to add a little magic to the flight shots you see of these guys. I love the flight angle here.

Wow Grace that's a beautiful shot of a Long tailed duck. The flight angle is perfect and the colors are very rich and earthy.
The clarity and sharpness looks awesome and I love the complementary background. Great Capture! !
