    Shot last February in Port Aransas, Texas. I don't care for the waves in the background but didn't have much luck in making them look better. If he looks contented, it's because he just swallowed a fish so big I couldn't believe it. I was able to capture the process. CC welcome.

    Hi David. You can almost feel the breeze in this one! Sharpness is good. I agree that the waves are a bit of a distraction. I think the bird sits a little high in the frame. Unfortunately the bird was lit from behind, so much of the face and neck are in the shadows. Some fill flash would have really helped in this situation.

    The side lighting did not help you with this particular headangle. Head angled more towards you and the eye would have been nicely lit instead. I don't mind the side light on the rest of the bird though...only wish for that eye to catch some.

    Hi David,
    I agree with the fill flash comment. It does wonders in these situations.
