It's easy to apply selective sharpening to the feet. I also increased contrast in the feet and darkened the pupil in the eye.
Nice light, BG and I also like the position of the feet. I might make it a vertical and you could try to selectively sharpen the feet. Maybe something like this.

Great image, out of the 3, the vertical is by far the best for me. The pose, HA, light are all fantastic. Like the feet and the perch a lot.
BG is great also, well done Phil.

Good work by all above, including the orig posterNice clean beak! It looks as if the nictitating membrane is partially closed... An easy repair in several ways... The whites on the head in Doug's re-post are too bright for me but he did a great job on the feet.

I really like the vert. comp. Overall a beautiful image with nice soft light and the different hues in the background.

Overall great looking image! love the pose! but what I think is really cool is the graduated sky!
Axel stole my thunder! Phil, I love this image, you did an excellent job creating it. I think Axel's crop works best because it fills your frame with the impact of your subject and that wonderful BG :)
