Great image. Amazing how tight the grip is on such a thin perch. TFS

Sweet bird and regal pose. Techs perfect. Killer BKGR. HH? Did you just walk up to the bird?

If it were mine I would eliminate the closer thin branch. As it is o-o-f it is a bit distracting for me :).

HI Arash - this is beautiful. It doesn't look like a very comfortable perch though!

Were you at 3200s because it's a Kestrel and you were trying to get it flying or because of the light, or maybe both? Sorry for asking just trying to learn.

    Thanks so much

    Very nice Arash, as usual.

I would only consider changing two things: burning (or removing) the closer branch and cleaning up the lower catchlight in the eye. Otherwise, killer!

All of my photographs are handhold. I don't have a tripod. And yes I approached her slowly.

    Hey Ashliegh,

I am always set up for flight because raptors can take off really quick and with slow ss you will miss the shot.

    This is beautiful Arash.
I love the BG and the light. The feet wrapped around the tiny perch are special,

What a beautiful shot Arash. The light looks great and the color and detail are killer. She has a 3D look to her suspended from that darker BG. Nice to see her sitting relaxing:) Nice!

Killer portrait, Arash. Love the light and the puffed up pose. The perch and BG are stunning! Wouldn't change a thing. I like your advice about having your settings ready for flight.
