    Right before Sunset and Hawaii does not have twilight, the sun sets and it is Dark!

    Dan,

    Greetings. The red - green color contrast is mesmerizing. Unfortunately, the foreground doesn't keep up with the subject and background. I like the detail & eye contact, but the color makes it for me.

    nice low angle, I don't have a problem with the FG but wish we could see the feet too

    Love the POV, agree with 7,1 you should have more DOF- even the bill is slightly OOF. What was focussing distance, or is this FF?

    The reds are red!! Stunning!

    Hey Dank, Sharp. Nice light. The foreground shadow line bugs me. I remember the heads of these birds being more red (than orange as here....)

    Where was it photographed?

    I like this one best Dan. Very nice HA and pose and I like that green BG. Great detail form that 800. I dont mind not seeing the feet too much and I think the color looks about right, about identical to my shots of this species. Another keeper.

    Hi Dan, love the low angle, and what a pose, but best of all, the light is exquisite. The reds of the head really stand out against the green BG. Well captured.
