    Default American Robin

I came across an old fountain, roughly 20 feet in diameter, with over 1,000 American Robins getting an early morning drink. I definitely will go back, since this pond displayed unusual robin behavior since they were so tightly packed into it. Pecking orders were obvious, and because of their density, it made it very difficult to get a clean shot of the worn down paint in the background. C&C always appreciated :) A tight crop was required in order to cut out stray parts of other robins.

Hi Evan, must be great to see these super looking birds in the numbers you describe, I think the rather messy BG does spoil your image a bit and perhaps a little more work on the bird but I would certainly stick to this site. Good Luck.

I like the bathing pose, good light. details are a bit soft as presented (can sharpen more). The BG is a bit distracting

Super low angle and bathing pose. Have to agree that the BG on this one for me detracts from the bathing. I think it would have been a more powerful image with a more even BG b/c you would really have been able to see all the water splashing from the bathing.
