    Default Smile for the camera!

While looking for jaguars in the Pantanal in Brazil, our boat slipped into a lagoon and we discovered nearly a dozen caiman of all sizes on the shore basking in the early morning sun. As you can see, the sun was already strong and the temperature was over 100 degrees F (38C) that day. The caiman hold themselves still as statues and many had open mouths. It was nearly surreal.

Hi Nancy - this works really well. The comp is great and nice low pov. I didn't realize caimans were so light in color compared to gators and crocs.

Nancy, super POV, nice comp, good BG blur. He looks menacing indeed!

    Hi Nancy,

love the open mouth of this one and the comp. I might would turn down a bit more the highlights with a Luminosity mask, just the very bright parts. Just me!

    Have a great day

    Ciao

    Hi Nancy ,
this works nice,POV,comp, colors well done.
I would try to tone down a bit more than only the lightest highlights. And in a real perfect world there is no other caiman in the BKG, not much you can do about.

Great detail and you pulled out the colors well. Highlights don't bother me but you could try a luminosity mask at low opacity since others mention. Great comp as well. Looks like you had a great trip!

Nancy, nice capture, good details. I'd try to crop the bottom to eliminate the distracting shadow. The BG is not ideal, but there is not much you can do there. Loi
