    Took this shot 31 of december a little sad about not having the rest of the head in the water, but besides that i hope you like it.

    Love the water, and like you, wish for the whole head. If the green head looks black when you push the shutter button, it will be rendered black (as here). Best to wait for it to go green (like a traffic light)...

    Great water colors and details. Maybe a bit less contrast and/or S/H to get more details in the blacks.

    I find Mallards really difficult to render because the aforementioned black head that only goes green in sunlight at a certain angle.

    The water is beautiful here. I think the eye could be cleaned up a little to improve the image.

    Hi Meint,
    I hope there is detail in the black parts.........as the water is very nice. Possible improvements covered.

    Arthur, i will try and notice the way the light falls on the mallards to get a green head next time its thing i never thougt of :)

    Hi Meint! Love the water color and the pose here. Shame about the top of the head, but an otherwise excellent capture. Agree with the suggestions from the experts.
