Red Footed Booby

A boring bird in the sky photo which I would not have bothered to take except
it is a Red Footed Booby, so I was thrilled to see and watch a colony in Hawaii.
They were on far cliffs but a couple flew by, so I got a flight photo anyway.

What a great bird. Love the colors in the beak.
Technically very well executed. Good details in the blacks and whites. A bit hot on the neck but not a deal breaker.
How jaded we have all become ( myself included) when we complain about a boring blue sky!!

Hi Dan, nothing wrong with a blue sky BG, they dont always fly against a foliage BG. This guy looks like he has a fair wingspan, and well exposed looking up to the sky. I do like the blue and mauve bill.

Even though its a blue sky its still a nice image of this cool looking bird. I like the fact that we can see the red feet and the blue bill. I dont mind blue sky on some shots like this one. Well done.
