    I think a ruddy turnstone that i found on boynton beach. they are very shy and i had to lay on the beach for a while waiting for one to come my way.

    D300, 18-200VR at 200mm, f/7.1, 1/640s, 0EV, ISO 400

    Great image, Harold! The sandy BG conveniently mixes with the brown tones on the bird, making it a perfect backdrop. Everything is crisp and detailed. I'd say it was definitely worth getting down on your belly for! :)

    Excellent image Harold I like the exposure and stance. Clean bg and great feather reproduction love how well the whites look !!! As presented might take a little of the top but its mostly taste !! Big Congrats !!!

    I love to watch these Ruddy Turnstones flipping over beach debris to check for morsels! It always seems that they are looking away from me, so you did very well to get good eye contact from this bird. I like the composition here too Harold.
