I like this image because of the angle and the way the colors of this grackle are visible. I clipped the tail so I had to crop. This crop has grown on me and I wonder what you all think? I was shooting a group of birds at close range hence the settings but ehy worked so....

Hi Cheryl, the details and colors are beautiful. I love the head turn, the eye, and the wave, but clipping the tail is quite unfortunate. Sorry, but the crop isn't quite working for me. Loi

i don't mind the crop, an interesting view and nice exposure.
I might darken the pupil a bit.

Cheryl I kike the pose and the colours and sheen of the bird if I have a tiny nit I am not sure about the eye looks a little dull.

Hi Cheryl - the unusual pose drew me in from the thumbnail. I prefer the first comp to the second. The gradients of colors is really nice. Sharpness and detail look great too. There's a halo along the top though.

Thanks Rachel. That's crazy about the halo . I could hardly sharpen this without it looking over sharpened because it was soo sharp to begin with

Cheryl - I don't think it is a sharpening halo because it seems a little wider. My guess would be that it came from a tonal or s/h adjustment.

Love the quirky pose, the details and the colors on this one. I tried and like going tighter all around.

Hi Cheryl, just a thought, but I might just drop the Exp a wee bit, likewise the highlights. Just watch that eye doesn't look too light
