    Default Zebra pan blur

Captured these guys along the shoreline of Lake Manze, Selous GR- Tanzania.
The new 80-400 AF-S acquitted itself really well on this trip and made a great panning lens.

Conversion to B&W in CS5, added a small amount of canvas just in front of the leading zebra.

    D700 80-400 AF-S 1/15s ISO100 f/25 @ 400mm.

    C & C most welcome

    Cheers

Great job with the panning! Good clean heads on the main two and nice blur of the legs showing all the motion but still allowing some leg detail to show. I really like the B&W conversion emphasizing the zebras and minimizing the intrusion of any bkgd color.

I second Nancy here. Great job and it was great of you to push for this kind of shots. Love it. Loi

You have done well here Marc. I have tried this a number of times and yet to get anything as good as yours.

Marc - really well done pan blur. Great sense of movement and good separation between the first two. The b&w conversion takes this up a notch too. Good thinking out of the box. Since you already added some canvas in front, how about a touch more?

Thanks Rachel, I did initially have more but it looked a little too obvious, granted would have liked more genuine room.

    Love it, Marc!

Same here, I haven't experimented with panning shots before. Must try a different mindset, I find in the field I pump ISO to get crisp shot, time to try something different, I think.

PS Please add some more canvas, they are running off my screen!!!
    Regards

    Andre.

    Hi Marc,
well done with panning and blur, plus a nice conversion.
I would go for a real 16:9 and one more vote for more room on LHS , they are running out of my screen, too.

I really like this image Marc, you've done an excellent job despite not having enough room in front of the leading zebra. It could be worse of course, you could have cropped the head off the first zebra!

I think it would look excellent as a pano.

Very nice image Marc, works for me very nicely, agree more added canvas may make this look a little off but it may work if cropped to a more pano style image with the added canvas would be interesting to see. The conversion is spot on here, very well done

    Hi Marc

Great image… One of your best …. love the conversion… only suggestion is to flip the image .. works better to have them running from left to right…
