    Default Giraffe

This was taken at Masai Mara at around 11 am hence the light was a bit harsh, I still managed to get decent exposure on this big giraffe. I could open up the mid-tones a little more I think. WDYT? I liked the clean environs and the typical Mara surroundings.

    Hi Sanjeev

Beautiful giraffe, nice details and I really like the light and color of the grass. The giraffe is a bit stationary, almost like a statue. Good or not, I donīt know. I do would like more of the "virtual" feet. The face is a bit in shadow, could possibly be lit up a bit. If you like to be creative, there could be a possibility to do something with the sky. Like a tone from bright to dark.

Hi Sanjeev - nice comp and simplicity to the image. I too would like just a bit more room below but not a deal breaker. If it were mine I would open up the midtones on the giraffe slightly but also give the giraffe a bit more punch with a curves adjustment. Minor tweaks will just enhance the image.

Hi Sanjeev i am with Rachel about comp and simplicity , makes this image for me.
I would prefer a bit more room on the bottom , if you have it.
Eventually i would work on the yellows , either the giraffe or the grass , it looks all the same………
But the most important for me is the dead, eye area , i would lighten the area a lot, not leaving a black hole behind, at least i would try.

Simplicity works. Some good suggestions given already, Sanjeev. I would open up the face a bit more, and add the midtone contrast as suggested.
Would also play with monochrome here with some creative dodging and burning?
