I took this one a couple weeks ago. The image is as it came from the camera -- no levels, no sharpening, nothing.
Is the image salvageable for printing?

I like it a lot, but wish I had not blown out the white on the male and that I had added more water on the right side for them to swim in to (and I would take some off the bottom). I would appreciate any criticism -- and suggestions as to how I could correct my mistakes, if that is possible.
    Thanks,
    Wendell

Hi Wendelll I like it a lot also !!! I like the parents calling both in good position and the little guys all bunched up following !!

Should be no problem obtaining a good file for printing. Would first extend canvas up front. For the whites you can make a duplicate layer and then multiply. Should get you detail in the male's body. Would also crop to more of a pano and straighten !!! Will give a try and post !!!

From the jepg side is much harder to work form. You should have better luck working with the RAW file. Would convert one normal and one linear. Put the two together and will make a difference in the whites. I tried the multiplying layer and not much came out !!! If you give a try do post the result !!!

Thanks, Alfred! But about your "Would first extend the canvas up front", how did you do that? It looks great. I confess a weakness in post-processing skills, and would like a specific explanation on what you did there. Did you simply select some of the water, feather the selection and then paste it up front, or what?

Alfred -- Could you explain a little bit about normal vs linear converting from RAW? Is this done in ACR?

    Thanks,
