Hi everyone! I´m digging around in my old files for pictures I have not seen before. I think this one is kind of funny. And it will be nice to hear tips on B&W processing.
If I could change the capture, I would like to have some more DOF.

    Nikon D300
    Nikon 70-200 @ 125 mm
    f2.8 | 1/2000 SS | ISO-400

Selectively sharpened the object, dodged and toned down clarity on the background and the usual pp - all in LR5
    This is FF.

Hi Gregor - remarkable dof for f2.8. I like the conversion. Good sharpness too. Unfortunate placement of the small brush in front of the open mouth. I would apply a little NR to the bg. Would have liked a little more room, particularly to the rhs but understand this is full frame. Always best to shoot a little wider in the field with a zoom. Still a nice one and well worth processing.

Haha - nice image and amusing. Actually like the slightly sepia tone, even though I don't normally. It is a shame about the branch in front of his mouth but that can't be avoided. I would tone down the bright flowers just above his head as they are a little distracting.

    Hi Gregor,

had a giggle. The conversion is quite nice for this one. I agree with toning down the white flowers in the BG, might bring out a bit more contrast in the details! Just my thoughts.

    have a great eve

Some good points made by the others, really love the look of disdain on the battle scared female!

...nothing like a couple of herbs to improve that bad breath! The male looks ready to bite into that bunch of leaves, Gregor! A content and very relaxed couple of lions, nice capture, well processed, I agree with the need for a little NR to be applied to the BG. Edward is right, I would try a slight sepia for this image, to give it that "taken long ago" feel.

    Kind regards,

    Hi everyone

Thanks for good feedback. Here is a new version, with dodging the flowers in the background, some noise reduction on bg and slightly more sepia.

Great image and Conversion Gregor. The only thing i can add is the lions look a little dull on my screen and could possibly pop just a little more, below i added a slight levels adjustment and a little localised brightness and contrast, WDYT

    Hi Brendon

Thanks, I think that looks good, and adds a little extra "pop".
