Great light and the details on the lion
I love the subtlety of the moment with the lioness paws present in the frame, but would've added some curve adj to them as they seem a little bland (as compared to the Lion's tones) and seem more of a part of the grass. Besides that, would've preferred a tad more space in the bottom if you have it!?

Haha that is one proud male Lion. Left his lady worn out by the looks of it LOL.

Lots of good detail here and jealous of the light - don't think I have ever shot wildlife at ISO100. Processing on the male looks great but I'd maybe try and reduce the contrast/exposure difference between the foreground and background. While as presented the tone variance gives good depth to the image, I find for me anyway that the contrast is a little too much.

Hope all is well with your family mate

Beautiful. Would also like a little more below, and perhaps the male's mane is a little oversharpened?
    Colours are great.

    Hi Rudi,

very nice image. I agree with a tad over sharpened the mane in a few parts. But not such big deal. A bit more foot room would be also nice. maybe you have some!

    Have a great weekend

    Ciao

Lovely male, almost looks like Mufasa Jnr!
Nice Kalahari tones throughout, Rudi. I just wish there was more space below...
Almost time for me to go look for them again!

Thanks for the valued feedback guys! Unfortunately I do not have more space below! Enjoy the trip Morkel! We will be there from 2 -14 Jan...

You right Jamie! Tweaked the black slider a bit in the black and neutrals afterwards, so maybe I should have left it as it was or maybe just adjusted the midtones...

Gregor, that is the beauty of the kalahari, if you are actually there - It is a 1200km drive just to get there from home!

    Have a great weekend guys!

    Brings back memories!
Agree with space and sharpening, to me even some Driedorings seems a tad over sharpened.

    I got 1800 to drive.

We will be back early Feb.

Nice moment captured Rudi, in sweet light.
    Regards

    Andre.
