Hi, Gary, nice zoom blur! I like the fact that you've got maroon at the bottom as well as the top. Nice detail in some of the flowers (asters?) so you know what you're looking at. What were your shooting specs?

Beautiful composition of color zooming out! I like that you can actually see a few spikey petals of the flowers scattered through the image.
Cheryl and Nancy, thanks for the look and kind comments. Cheryl, my first zoom blur was with you and Denise at Bosque a year ago. Time flys. The metadata says I was using my Nikon D3s, Nikkor 70-200 @ 200 with f18, 0.4 sec iso 200. I most likely used a variable neutral density filter to get the shutter speed this slow. This filter is a big help when attempting blurs.
Wow Gary! Stunning image with beautiful colors and just the right amount of zoom.
Although zooms and blurs are not my favorites, this one is quite nice. It does make me dizzy!
Hi, Gary, it is amazing that it's been a year! I'm headed back out there next week and I'm going to spend several days in Santa Fe and Taos before Bosque. Your creative images are really wonderful![]()

Cheryl, have a great time out west. You and the others in the forum have taught me a ton. Thanks
I didn't comment earlier because I couldn't put my finger on why this stands out from the usual zoom blurs, but now I see it -- the darker and more spread out features near the bottom ground it and remove some of the symmetry that is so common with zooms. I like it!!
