Hi Dan,
The first image shows very blue stars, bluer than exists in reality. I suggest making a third image. The image suffers from some light pollution. I suggest taking the second image and using levels, move the left slider of each color to reduce the light pollution. This subtracts light from the image.

Here is an example, I used level to reduce red a little, the curves to reduce the low end of green and red. There is also a gradient with more red on the right side. I did not try and remove the gradient. This should give you an idea. ISO 1600 would have maintained more star colors.

Thanks a bunch, Roger and I like what you have done.
I actually did like the daylight WB better as it make the palms stand out more but I agree on the haze.
I will try your fix on some other images.
I appreciate it.

Great fix by Roger, but I think the palm trees in that version are too yellow. I'd like to see them more as in the OP. You could try a local color adjustment.

Amazing image... Roger's RP works well.... but agree with Jerry on the "yellow-ness" of the palms.

Great exercise, and I love the composition and idea. Wonder if Hue-Sat or Selective Color would allow work on the orange tones without messing up the sky?
