I am reminded (after uploading an image) that commenting on the work of others is encouraged, Dan. I like this image very much except for the crop. A recommendation of what to do would ideally be advised with a view of the original shot. Working from this representation alone, I would remove more than a sliver off the top.

Nice image Dan. Good exposure. I really like the perspective on the PGPL.

A pacific golden plover in a backyard?!You are killing me!
Great low POV and nice walking pose.
I might reduce the brightness of the BG a bit.
    Nice shot,
    Gail

Fantastic bird and a fascinating setting. It has a slight tendency to compete with the bird, but I find when I browser scroll and take a bit off the top and then off the left to balance it helps. I totally love the bird's pose and eye contact with you. Perhaps just a bit more sharpening to him, emphasize "bit". Thanks for sharing this unique photo, Dan.

I like the low angle, pose and exposure. I like Grace's composition suggestion. Well done Dan.

I love the patterns you got on the plumage, and the colours are quite vivid. My type of low angle too. I like the idea of cropping a bit up top, or alternatively adding a bit below if you have it and the FG not too obstructive.
