I had great fun shooting this Juvie American Oystercatcher learning to feed on coquinas with it's parents. Not sure if he got this one himself or if mom left it there. Usually she takes the meat out of the shell and feeds the chick so I am guessing baby found this one himself. The parent is close by probably in front hunting for more. This is such an awesome thing to watch and have the opportunity to shoot. I wanted to crop tighter to show that little clam but not sure if I should go tighter? I do like this crop. Thanks for looking

What a cutie-pie. I couldn't believe how little the shells were that this little one was attempting to eat. This image tells such a great story, although some may not realize this is a fledgling. You have super exposure, details, angle and surf in the BG.

    Superb POV and IQ.
Tiny CCW rotation that is a real nitpick and maybe tone down the whites a bit?

    Really nice Cheryl.
Love the way the head is turned towards us.
Great low POV and agree on a tiny bit of CCW rotation.

A perfect pose and huge dose of sweetness. The tiny clam shell makes this image stand out.
