    Was wondering about the crop on this one. Originally horizontal cropped vertical. Wanted to include more of the plant as I found it interesting. What do you think.
    Nikon D4, ISO 800, 1/1500 @ 6.3, 500mm, handheld.

    Plant is very interesting! Crop works for me for that reason. If the plant had been plain or boring, it definitely not would have the same impact.

    Also love the color variation in the background. Smooth yet dynamic.

    I like the crop. The only thing I might like to look at would be whether it was better if the tan area at the bottom was just a little darker.

    Great to get an action shot like this! The wings look translucent.

    There seems to be more detail in the plant than the bird, but maybe that's just the nature of the feathers.

    I really love the image but I think I would still prefer a bit more room above the bird.

    Agree would like a little room at the top the bird feels crowded
