    Default Spooky Kaleidoscope

We still have the "spooky" weekly theme until Nov 8. I know it's tough to generate spooky images after Halloween is over but here is my attempt. I think I'll start looking for help for my addiction to Pixel Bender since this is another kaleidoscope ! The base image is a Cocoi Heron from Brazil. I like the organic feel animals, birds and plants give to the kaleidoscope images. I also used a layer of Fractralius, and PS color gradient to create the effect in the "eyes".

    Nancy,

Greetings. The color is great! For some reason the first thing that popped into my mind when I opened the image is Grateful Dead. ;-) I'm sure it's an aging deadhead thing, but the association in my mind remains...

    Thanks for posting.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

What kind of spooky creature is that? Very cool shapes and your use of fract works great here.

Nancy, these are pretty cool. PB is definitely an addiction. Have you gone to the exchange and checked out all the filters that are available? http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchang...c=26&loc=en_us

I love this spooky creature, which I see as a sort of "white Wookie" with crazy eyes, wearing body armor with big shoulder guards. But that's just me... I would love to see you do a vertical kaleidoscope image, sort of like a totem.

Kerry nailed it with a white Wookie. I like the tonal gradation of the whites accentuating the Wookie.

So this creature is a white Whookie ! Kerry, I looked at that website and I could not figure how to download and add to PS. I have CS5 & through Adobe exchange they require CS6. I must be missing something. Many of those filters look really interesting.

It wasn't until I opened up this image that I noticed those eyes! They make the image. There are some beautiful shapes in the kaleidescope. (I never did get into making spooky images.)

Anita, I don't know about spooky, but some of your flowers might make very interesting symmetries. Faces crop up in all sorts of places.
