This American Wigeon struck a nice pose for me yesterday. He even managed a smile!

Yes, a happy fellow indeed. Great colors, detail, pose. I could imagine a little more room in front to show off the beautiful water swirls. I've come to the conclusion that swimming ducks often work nicely with a 16:9 comp.

Your wish is my command Bill. How do you like this version?

I also prefer the pano version. Stunning frame, really enjoy the colours and water patterns. Good one Doug.

Hi Doug, excellent finer detail showing up here, and good DOF through the wigeon. Yep, the open bill certainly gives the impression of a smile. Interesting texture to the water, I like it, and your repost does work better.

I like the crop in the repost. Sharpness and exposure are really good, especially on the bill.

What a happy little fella!! The duck itself looks great with full of wonderful details...but the water really makes it for me...

He sure dose look happy. The shot looks great and the exposure and detail look right on. The water color really makes this one for me. Nice work Doug. Hope to see you soon.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'll have to try 16x9 on more of my duck images.
