A second image from this series, i posted one earlier in the year similar to this one.

In true Duba style and early one morning we saw this young lioness and her pride already after the buffalo, here we witnessed her charging through the water towards the buffalo as she sees a young calf lagging behind, unfortunately for her some of the herd bulls spoiled her attempt and kept her at a safe distance away from the herd and the calf until the had regrouped.

Dynamic Image Brendon! I really like the leaping pose and the splash, the intense 'locked-on' gaze on the lioness is awesome.

Brendon this shot rocks. Just love the action you feel when viewing it and the mood created by that glorious light.

Fantastic action and sharpness. The intense look and the straight up tail greatly enhance the image. I think I prefer this one to the other. Congrats!

    Wildlife perfection!
IQ on her face on this version seems to be lower than the versions I've seen elsewhere??

I wonder if you've had to sharpen the cat quite a bit as it seems lower IQ than your normal posts. Was it a bit blurry? Perhaps raising ISO to gain a higher SS would have been a safer option....easy to say with hindsight!

Hi edward, thanks for your comment, this image is in fact razor sharp in her face, i do see the drop in IQ though as you have mentioned, i am not sure why this is, i may have done something funny when resizing.
