Lovely scene. I would eliminate the coy because they are indistinguishable and seem to me to be a distraction to the focus on the waterfall.
I like the sharp, clean look to the rocks & mainly horizontal vegetation, and the smooth contrast of the vertical falls. A composition with a very interesting interplay of planes and details, accented with rich greens. I don't think the orange streaks that are koi add much. With that lower koi removed, I would consider cropping some up from the bottom, to put the focus on the falls. And those falls are beautiful.
Hazel and Nancy, thanks for the critique. The redo incorperates your suggestions.

Excellent image of the water at the Japanese Gardens.
Way too much cyan/blue in the water -- a result of making the image in the shade or after the sun went down.
Here's what I would do

Don, thanks for the critique. I noticed today that my redo was more cyanophilic than the original. Why that happened, I don't know. I started from scratch and incorporated all suggestions in redo 2.
Gary, I like the rec-cropped image of REDO 2.
Hi Gary, this is quite a nice image. I love the wee bit of Fractalius; it gives just enough edge detail for my eye. I like the final repost with the suggestions implemented. Very nice.

A lovely scene! I'm a Mac user and haven't used Fractalius, and it's interesting to see such a subtle use of it.
Thanks to all.
Great shot! I like the detail, and that there is detail in both the light and the dark areas. Eliminating the Koi was a good move. I think your final post still has too much blue in the water (I prefer Don's version). There is a bit of green coming in of the upper left near the rock that I'd clone out. The changes are worth making as this is an excellent image--lots of different shapes, textures, shades of green and grey. Beautiful composition.
You did a great job with this, not really OOTB, just a nice look at this waterfall.
