    Michael, it is always nice to get a kestrel. Looks like she had a prey in her talon? the lighting was not ideal, and at +1EV, the underside was slightly under-exposed. You may want to brighten the face and underside a little more. Loi

    Tough lighting conditions you had, but you made the best you could although you needed to recover exposure in post. I like the translucence along the primaries. I do find the colours a tad muddied - I'd love more vivid yellows on the bill's base and feet.

    Lovely stretched out pose and stare down. Good that you have a bit of eye catch. Agree that, overall, the image looks a bit flat.
