Everything to like about this one, Gail. The soft light, bird, fish, and delicate droplets on the bird's face all add up to make this one a fine image.

This is great Gail. Light was nice, and exposure is spot on. It's hard sometimes (a lot of the times) to really get a distinguished eye when it's in those black feathers. You nailed it.

It's a nice bonus that the fish was even facing the right way!

This one is absolutely beautiful, Gail. Both blacks and whites are nice with details, fish and "hair style" is a bonus. Super!

Gail, love it. You nailed the exposure here for both the fish and the bird and you could even get the fish eye. Excellent PP work too. Loi

    Gail:

Very nice, good comp, the slight variation in the background, esp. the green sup. adds sig. for me.

    Nice catchight, prey item, exposure.

Perhaps the head a sliver more our way.

    Cheers

Beautiful portrait, Gail. Love the fish and the tongue, and a terrific comp. The whites are just a few points toward the blue; maybe just a hint of warming filter?

Excellent exposure and lovely details, Gail.
Comp is good, but I wonder if less negative space and a little more bird would make this portrait even more intimate.
Did you get any with the head turned a bit more our way?

Very nice portrait Gail. The exposure looks great and the detail in the darks and lights looks right on. The raised hackles and the sharp fish make the shot special. A bit better HA would be nice but I know how it goes. Well done

Real nice Gail. Perfect head angles on both and great detail.
