Default Nik Software Auto Update causing error messages when starting Photoshop CS6, CS5

When I started Photoshop CS6 I received the following error message: "MSVCP110.dll is missing from your computer"

The problem is caused by an auto update installed by the Nik software suite. The solution to the problem is on the Nik website. Located under: Help Center, Troubleshooting and FAQs, MSVCP110.dll error.

To fix this problem, download the trial version 1.1.0.5 and install it over the existing version. This loads the missing files back on the computer. This fixed the problem for me (Photochop CS6 user).

    Full Nik statement:

    MSVCP110.dll Error

When starting Photoshop, or when launching a plug-in from Lightroom, I receive an error "MSVCP110.dll is missing from your computer." How do I fix this?

Please download and reinstall the Nik Collection to your computer, either from your original Nik Collection download email, or by downloading the trial from Google.com/NikCollection. This should be version 1.105 of the Nik Collection. If you previously had a registered version of the Nik Collection installed on your computer, installing the trial will simply update the files for you. Make sure that all host applications are closed as you run the installer, and then you should be able to launch the software once again.
