Just reliving one of the best trips ever to the Falklands last December … can't wait to return some day!

Having never had any land predators, the penguins have no fear of humans and the Rockhoppers are very curious.

    Hi Mike,
You are giving me some great ideas!!
I love the way you have framed this and the sweet inquisitive look he is giving you.
The diagonal line of the rock slope and the ocean and colony in the BG really add to the image.
My only wish is that the full wing would be visible on the RHS.

    Hi Mike,

Simply wonderful image. The framing is perfect with the curious Rockhopper leaning into your lens.

    Lovely sharp image Mike.
Great pose from the penguin too.
Composition wise i think that you could crop some from the LH side and not lose anything.
The symmetry of the penguin and the sloping rocks works well, but for me there is a bit too much empty OOF space on the left.

Very different than what we usually see here, but I'm a fan!

I just wish the camera were pointed just a tad to the right, so that you didn't have a clipped wing. Otherwise, very nice!

Very cool, Mike, love the wide angle and the perspective.
Envious as can be, thanks for showing this bird scape.
