One of the most exciting sightings I've had!
Their grey tone dotted the horizon and with the swiftness they were moving, I was unsure if I'll be lucky enough to meet their trajectory for a decent shot.
Stars aligned, and I was able to make it past their pathway and got the "right" side of the light

I had the teleconvertor on so couldn't get them with much of landscape. But more than anything else, enjoyed the viewing of these beautiful, wild, free-roaming tanks!

From the couple of keepers I've got from this show, this one seemed apt for a monochrome conversion to me. Would like to hear what everyone has to say!
Processed with Silver Efex Pro, added vignetting to get more emphasis on the younger one.
    Comments welcome!

Shreyas, this looks beautiful, like a drawing. Yes, a little more room all around would have been nice, but not a deal breaker. Love the contrast between the twos. Loi

Very artistic! I love how the grasses form a light vignette at the bottom, and how the back one is a lighter ghost of the front one.

Very artistic Shreyas, you've used the monochrome well.
For me the vignette is a bit strong and possibly un-necessary.

    Very nicely done!

    What an amazing encounter.

I am with Martin on the vignette.

I think this is fantastic. Monochrome works very well here. I like the juxtaposition of those two rhinos. Great post processing.

Hi Shreyas - I've looked at this a couple of times and the pp has grown on me. I do think the vignette is too strong though. I also would prefer more room around especially below. Nice choice on the conversion.

    Rachel

    Appreciate the input, all!
Here's a repost based on the suggestions. Have reduced the Vignetting a bit and have added a splash of contrast, but it makes the treeline on the top left a bit of a distraction IMO.
    WDYT?

I like the vignetting so I prefer the OP, but both are excellent. Liked hearing the excitement in your story as well.

Love the symmetry here with this pair, your RP is a definite improvement Shreyas, however there looks to be shading/cloning marks on that LHS??

Nice moment here Shreyas! If it's where I think it is then it's great, cause you normally see the black cousin on that side
I like the contrast on the rhinos in your RP, I like vignettes myself and though the OP is a tad too much the RP has almost none at all so I'd go for a compromise vignette...

I prefer the OP as it has a softer feel to it.
I really like this for the symmetry and the grasses at the bottom.

Nice bit of symmetry/reflection and well judged dof. I prefer the OP even though I don't normally like vignettes.

@ Morkel, yep....this was the one and only lucky sighting of the white ones!
